ESTROGEN

Estrogen is the main hormone for sexual and reproductive development in women. Along with progesterone, it is one of the most important hormones in the female body. These hormones impact a woman’s reproductive system, the skeletal structure, and even the liver, heart and other vital organs. As women move closer to menopause, estrogen levels decrease resulting in a wide range of symptoms hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, vaginal dryness, bladder problems, difficulty concentrating and anxiety.

Current conventional medical therapy is to prescribe the lowest dose of estrogen for the shortest duration possible to treat these bothersome symptoms. However, this therapy was based on flawed studies which used pharmaceutical hormones such as medroxyprogesterone acetate and conjugated equine estrogens (CEEs) which are not bio-identical. The different structure of these synthetic hormones is what caused an increase in blood clots and cancers found in these previous studies. Estrodiol, the estrogen found naturally in the human body does not cause these problems. In fact, estrogen replacement therapy improves the quality of life for most post-menopausal women by making them feel more youthful and energized.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF BIO-IDENTICAL ESTROGEN THERAPY INCLUDE

  • Protects against heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease and memory disorders
  • Protects against vaginal atrophy, urinary incontinence, and urinary tract infections
  • Improves muscle tone, fewer wrinkles, stronger, shinier hair, and more enjoyable sexual life
  • Lowers total blood cholesterol and raises HDL (good cholesterol)
  • Prevents symptoms of menopause and improves overall well-being
  • Does NOT cause breast cancer

PROGESTERONE

Women in menopause lose progesterone, which previously protected women against uterine cancer, breast cancer, osteoporosis, and heart disease. Some symptoms that one may be low in progesterone include pain and inflammation, headaches, depression and anxiety, irritability, insomnia, and low sex drive.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF BIO-IDENTICAL PROGESTERONE INCLUDE

  • Enhances the beneficial actions of estrogen
  • Promotes new bone formation
  • Protects against osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease
  • Protects against breast cancer
  • Acts as a natural tranquilizer
  • Promotes feelings of well-being
  • Relieves menopausal and PMS symptoms: moodiness, irritability, bloating and headaches

TESTOSTERONE IN WOMEN

Even though testosterone is widely known as a male hormone, it is also an important hormone for women by playing a crucial role in the physical and emotional health of women. Some symptoms that one may be low in testosterone include: weight gain, muscle loss, osteoporosis, lack of energy, headaches, depression, insomnia, low sex drive, vaginal dryness and yeast infections.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF TESTOSTERONE IN WOMEN INCLUDE:

  • Enhancement of sexual drive and restoration of energy
  • Strengthening of bone and prevention of osteoporosis
  • Increases muscle mass, strength and endurance
  • Decreases fat
  • Increases exercise tolerance
  • Enhances well-being and mood
  • Prevents thinning and wrinkling of skin by increasing type 1 collagen and elastin

THYROID

Thyroid hormone regulates temperature, metabolism, and cerebral function, resulting in increased energy, temperature and warmth. People who suffer from low thyroid function tend to experience fatigue and low energy, slowness in their thinking and actions, forgetfulness, mental concussion, depression, arthritis-like pain, and susceptibility to colds and infections.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF THYROID HORMONE REPLACEMENT INCLUDE:

  • Regulates temperature, metabolism, and cerebral function
  • Increase fat breakdown resulting in weight loss and lower cholesterol
  • Relieves symptoms of thin, sparse, dry hair, and thin nails.
  • An effective treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Improves cerebral metabolism and prevents cognitive impairment

DHEA

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, and is derived from cholesterol. DHEA is the most abundant steroid hormone in the body, and is the building block for making estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF DHEA INCLUDE:

  • Improves brain function and relieves stress
  • Increases energy, and reduces body fat and cholesterol
  • Increases insulin sensitivity, resulting in protection from diabetes
  • Treats connective tissues disorders such as Lupus
  • It’s an antioxidant which prevents formation of free radicals
  • Improves sleep, increases energy, and improves capacity to handle stress

MELATONIN

Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland, located in the center of the brain. It regulates circadian rhythms, as well as regulates the deep stages of sleep.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF MELATONIN INCLUDE:

  • Involved in biologic regulation of circadian rhythms, sleep, mood, and reproduction
  • Acts as a powerful antioxidant
  • Boosts immune function, scavenges free radicals, fights cancer, and induces youthful sleep patterns
  • Promotes better sleep, reduces jet lag and depression

SERMORELIN FOR HUMAN GROWTH

Sermorelin acetate is a biological active analog of growth hormone releasing factor (GRF 1-44) which is a growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) naturally produced by the human brain to stimulate production and secretion of human growth hormone (HGH) by the pituitary gland. Sermorelin is not a growth hormone; it is a growth hormone secretagogue, which means it stimulates the pituitary gland by binding to specific receptors to increase the production and secretion of HGH.

As a youth, ample amounts of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) are produced so the pituitary gland is able to provide the body with sufficient growth hormone sustain health, vitality and otherwise normal aspects of human form and function. As we age, GHRH declines causing reduced production and secretion of pituitary HGH and thereby increasing growth hormone insufficiencies that erode health, stamina and vitality during later life.

Sermorelin therapy consists of daily injections of Sermorelin acetate which stimulates the pituitary gland to produce increased natural secretion of human growth hormone. Since Sermorelin acetate is approved as safe for use in children to increase their production of growth hormone, it is considered safe for use in increasing the natural production of growth hormone in adults deficient in growth hormone. Each person’s individual needs are used to determine dosing, but recent research indicates its effects wears off after two to three months, thus it is more cost effective to cycle on and off of this medication every few months.

SYMPTOMS OF LOW GROWTH HORMONE

  • Weight Gain
  • Muscle Loss
  • Fatigue
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Low Sex Drive
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Depression
  • Memory Loss

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF SERMORELIN THERAPY

  • Increases calcium retention which strengthens and increases bone density
  • Enhances the immune system and accelerates healing from wounds or surgery
  • Promotes non-REM slow wave sleep
  • Increases protein synthesis and stimulates the growth of all internal organs except the brain
  • Increases energy, vitality, strength and endurance
  • Increases lean body mass by developing new muscle cells
  • Breaks down body fat and fatty acids
  • Improves heart function
  • Reduces liver uptake of glucose, an effect opposing that of insulin
  • Promotes liver glycogenesis
  • Plays a role in fuel homeostasis
  • Contributes to the maintenance and function of pancreatic islets cells
